With proper care, firearms can be passed down for generations, so it isn't surprising that the market for used guns is strong. At Cape Gun Works, we have a 20,000-square-foot commercial space in Hyannis, and our pro shop is fully stocked with a vast selection of used guns for sale, as well as their accessories.
What to Look For When Buying a Used Gun
In many ways, buying used handguns and other firearms is very similar to buying any other used item. Even the most highly produced guns each have their own story, and you want to examine the specific gun before you buy it. You'll be glad to know that our firearms experts thoroughly inspect each of our guns before putting them up for sale, so even if you aren't an expert, you'll be getting a high-quality product.
Even so, we encourage you to check out the exterior of the gun.
Pay special attention to any screws, fittings, and bushings, and if there are any aftermarket parts, make sure that they are correctly installed.
Then, after getting permission from our staff, inspect the bore and interior of the gun.
Finally, check the latches and controls to make sure they move freely and lock tightly.
Just like buying a car, when you buy a used gun for sale, you'll want to get a feel for it before the purchase is finalized.

How Often Is Your Inventory Updated?
We update our inventory all the time! While the availability of our most popular items may vary, and we never know what used handguns people will sell us, we do our best to keep our showroom fully stocked. Can I Trade In One of My Guns?
Yes! At Cape Gun Works, we encourage you to bring your guns to us. We'll be glad to take a look at them and give you a price quote. And even if you choose not to sell to us, we'd love for you to take them out onto our spacious climate-controlled range.
