Handgun Beginner / Intermediate
Utah Non-resident License
The Utah non-resident license allows individuals to carry in 36 states through reciprocity. See our class schedule for details. Note: This is not a substitute for a MA License to Carry Firearms.

This is the class you need in order to apply for your Massachusetts License to Carry Firearms or a Firearms ID Card. There is a 4 hour session (no live fire) and a live fire class that meets all MA requirements.

Book a 1 hour private lesson with experienced law enforcement firearms instructors and customize your lesson to your experience level and individual needs. Private instruction can be tailored to an individual, couple, parent-child or small group.

Date Night - No LTC Required!
Our range safety officers will brief the couple to safety basics then off to the range! Date night lasts about 2 hours but may run short or long depending on how fast people shoot. Each couple is provided with range pistols, gear and one box of ammo.

LEOSA 50 State Carry for Retired Law Enforcement
Retired law enforcement officers may take LEOSA (Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act) training to carry their firearm in all 50 states. This class will provide the retired LEO with training and a certificate to meet federal requirements.

Drawing from the Holster
At Cape Gun Works, we understand the need to practice for real-life situations. We are one of the few ranges to allow drawing from the holster! The qualification consists of a basic equipment check to ensure safe operation, dry-fire practice, and basic shooting qualification. Afterwards you will be allowed to come in and practice from the holster! Talk to a Cape Gun Works employee for more details.
Private and Small Group Firearms Instruction
Cape Gun Work's private and small-group classes are recommended for beginners prior to taking more advanced live-fire training classes. Private instruction can be tailored to an individual, couple, parent-child or small group. Individual instruction commonly includes proper stance, grip, sighting, and safety. Each session includes instruction time, range time, a target, and eye and hearing protection. Handgun rentals and ammunition are not included in the base price.

What class do I take to get my gun licnense in Massachusetts? Take the LTC Training Course.
Can I rent your class room for an event or party? Yes we have successfully accommodated corporate outings, political fundraisers, birthday parties, and private events. Please contact us for further info.
Do I have to own a gun to take a class or private lesson? You don't need to own your own gun we have rentals. Private lessons are good for fitting you for a new gun.
Can you take private lesson for all tyapes of firearms? Yes. You can take a lesson for pistol, rifle or shotgun.
